W elcome to my newly designed blog-site. Some of you may be new to this, so I will briefly explain... this is a website that is also a blog and vice versa. My old site had not been updated in almost two years, and thus, my blog was truly the best representation of my work. So... the two shall become one! If you are new to me, feel free to click on the buttons above for sample galleries of some of my favorite work. Then, check out my most recent work by clicking through the most relevant category for what you are searching. For everyone else, enjoy the joined functionality... Happy viewing!

I 'm back at it! Or, at least, I was for one shoot. :-) Jill & Eric have been married for 13 years, and Eric wanted to do something special for Jill. They "needed" some good pictures of the two of them, and they were only going to be in town for this past weekend. So, Eric successfully talked Kristin into talking me into doing this one shoot while still on "maternity leave." (which, I think is only a half leave right at this point onward). Anyway, I am glad I did it! This couple was so cute and so fun to work with, AND they were up for my favorite winter spot... The Ice Palace! For those of you who don't know, the castle is only up for maybe 2 weeks a year, and it is always different. I was a little sad that this might be the first year since the year we moved here (4 years ago) that I wouldn't do a shoot at the castle... BUT... it wasn't! Thankfully! Anyway, I hope you enjoy this couple as much as I did! Happy viewing!
It was a perfectly beautiful day, and the sun was shining straight through the ice. Stunning! |

| Chris and I really love this... not only because Jill & Eric are being playful, but because the light is coming through the ice just so. |

| There is just something I love about this moment... |

| Even though this does not show location AT ALL, i think it may be my favorite! |

| There is that glassy ice again! |

| It was hard to narrow down our favorites, but this is another one Chris really loves (as do I). Unprompted moment. |

| This is Chris' favorite (not that he was at the shoot with me- he was having some alone time with Claire, but he can still pick his favorite!) |

| Thanks so much, Jill & Eric for braving the chill and the ice. I had a blast! And for everyone out there waiting to book your session until I am done with my maternity leave, the time is now! Kristin is taking down bookings!! We still have that Mother's Day Special for a few more days, too. |

Attention Class of 2010 (& 2009) |

W e have finally put up our favorite Senior shots from last year in the "galleries" section above. Check it out! I am hoping to do A LOT more seniors this year. Last year was our first year offering this service, but I am really looking forward to doing more. In fact, if you are a local high school junior, we want you! We are looking for school representatives willing to spread the word to their class about our services. In exchange, your session fee will be waived! In addition to that, for every student you refer to us, you will receive credit for products! Of course, there are more details you will have to inquire about, and the limit is two reps for Saranac Lake and Lake Placid High Schools and one rep for all other schools (in Plattsburgh or elsewhere). You must act now, and email or call us in the next few weeks. We want to do your shoot this spring so that you can spread the word before school lets out this June!
And, I know there are some of you members of the current senior class that still have not had their portraits done. We will still do them! Just give us a call! |

Published!- WellWed in New York Magazine |

N o surprise to you loyal blog followers, but I am a wee bit behind on my updates. ... Okay, that was an understatement. Not only have I not blogged on the feature wedding that I have in WellWed from the current issue that came out a little over 5 weeks ago, but I also have not blogged about the feature I had from the last issue that came out too long ago to mention. ;-) And, I must say that this is not for lack of excitement! I am truly honored and thrilled to have two weddings featured this year in such a great magazine, but there is something about being uber pregnant and having a newborn that tends to delay things a bit. ha! Anyway, better now than never, so here it is! Happy viewing!
The current issue is a special issue. Best yet! |

| Bridget & Chris' wedding were bound to be in a magazine. Their wedding was fabulous. |

| I just loved their color scheme of hot pink and navy! |

| Three full spreads!!! Gotta love that! |

| And now, the last issue... |

| Alicia & Brian were married a little over a year ago. |

| They had a very cozy and beautiful winter wedding, complete with some images from the ice castle! |

| If any of you guys want a copy of either issue, we have some to spare (actually TONS of the current issue), so just let us know! |

I can't believe it was a month ago today that Claire came out into this world! This month has really flown by, and yet, it feels like we've had her forever. Today was my first full day alone with her. Hard to believe, but we have tons of family... First, my mom... and step-dad... then, Chris' mom... and dad & siblings... then a week with just Chris... and finally my dad and step-mom. It has been great to have so much family able to come up this way, but today was also blissfully full. Claire Anna is such a great baby, and she is changing every day! So... without further ado, I would like to share the pics for her official one month session (as well as some pics from a few weeks ago in her cute lil nursery). Happy viewing!
Love this expression. Every once in a while she lifts one brow and smiles with just one cheek... this is one of those moments where she isn't sure she wants to do that. ha! |

| She's started smiling at us!! |

| so peaceful (even if only for a moment without that pacifier) |

| I love how intently she looks at things (ie her reflection in my camera!) |

| This is my favorite of Chris and Claire. I took it first thing in the morning yesterday. |

| and now... for the nursery pics. She was only 10 days old in these. I took these for our announcements (which not all, but most, are out in the mail), so I withheld them from you until now. But I L-O-V-E these! |

| (note to any doctors out there: I placed her on her tummy for this shoot. she does not sleep on her tummy unless supervised.) ;-) |

| we already have this one framed. i love her lil lips in this. |

| check out the nursery! i know you guys will all love those three frames that I painted... that are EMPTY!!!! help me decide what to put in them! |

| last one... i just HAD to get a pic of her crying. she actually really loves her nursery and will calm down, in most cases, when we walk her in there. she loves the bright colors! BUT... she does not love (a) being hungry and (b) having a dirty diaper. she was both a and b here. |
