Becky & Matt - Summer Lovin' |

Rachel and Justin are married! |

I must admit... it has taken me a few days to bounce back from all of that driving (down to Baltimore and back); the sad part is I only did half the driving! ha! Did I mention that I have the best husband ever? Well, I do. ;-) Anyway, on to the post... Rachel & Justin are blissfully newlywed!
Chris and I were both blessed by their ceremony, even though it was quite a lengthy one; it was truly a worship service offering praise to the One that has given us the gift of marriage. We could not help but notice how much love and support this couple has surrounding them... from amazing family to great friends, they are blessed! Congratulations you guys, and happy viewing!
The best man was holding the rings captive.

A tight bridal portrait... we worked so hard to find this natural light without letting all the guests see the bride before the ceremony.

I loved how bright and cheery her colors and flowers were.

Chris grabbed this one of the best man. I just love it...

The entire wedding took place at the church... the homestead provided us with some fun backdrops for a few shots.

This may be my favorite of the day. Pure joy!

Chris grabbed this of the newlyweds right as they were walking into the tent for their reception.

Okay, just preparing you... I LOVE many of the shots we got from their first dance. I think the simple reason is because they seemed oblivious to the people around them and just totally immersed in this pivotal moment as they take their first steps in their marriage together.
Chris' sweet shot...

This may be my second favorite shot of the day. Love it!

Classic sweet first dance moment, but I still love it.

The light during the toasts was ridiculous, making my flash look like sunlight. So, I have 2 I love during the toasts...

One last one... couldn't help but put this up of Rachel's siblings (maid of honor and brother)... Her brother was very special, and everyone there just adored him and loved on him all night. He... was really excited that they FINALLY cut the cake! :-)

Happy honeymooning!
We actually have (somewhat of) a break this weekend. No wedding... just 2 portrait sessions. July is going to be nuts, friends. Put on your seatbelts because we have some great weddings and MANY MANY photo shoots in between. We also have some exciting news to share in the next few weeks or so... |

Casey & Nat in Fells Point, MD |

C hris and I drove all the way down to Baltimore on Friday... originally, I was supposed to fly, but well, it is a long story that I won't bore you with. I am fortunate enough to have an amazing husband that was willing to drive with me and thus have to take an extra day off of work. (Thanks, sweetie).
Anyway, once we got to Baltimore, we almost immediately turned around to head out to Fells Point to meet Casey & Nat for their engagement session. We had such a great time walking around a new scene full of character and colors with this couple! Happy viewing.
I know my clients probably think I am nuts when I tell them, "okay, head towards the 3rd blue stripe and hang out there," but I love this!
Some yummy light on a side street.
I really love this spot... also love that the tenants did not walk out on us. ha!
More yummy light and Casey thinking hard about the ice cream behind her. :-)
Speaking of yummy... lemonade!
I really love this one... a lot.
Also love this... it just feels very sincere and calm to me.
Okay, Casey & Nat may not usually hop, skip and jump like this, but I really loved these cobblestone streets, not to mention how he is watching her instead of where he is going!
Chris joined me, so naturally, he has a great shot, too. LOVE it, sweetie!
Tomorrow... Rachel & Justin's sweet wedding. |

Danielle and Mike - The Sagamore |

N ow... to my images. I am not sure I can top Chris, but I sure have a few of my own faves to add to it....
Danielle & Mike really do have an amazing network of support through their family and friends. I can speak for both Chris and myself when I say that we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this weekend. It is very obvious that this couple is not only madly in love, but they are also best friends. And, really, that makes our jobs so easy.
I am convinced that Danielle & Mike have more than some people on their side... we were anxiously following the weather forecast for days, and it kept looking grim for an outdoor ceremony. Even 3 hours before the ceremony, the forecast was calling for a 100% chance of rain and thunderstorms. Although, however, Danielle wanted to risk it and still try to do it outside. Well, it was gorgeous! Incredibly hot and humid, but beautiful! The rain didn't come until about 8pm; 3 hours after the ceremony started. You know how everyone says rain on your wedding day is good luck? Well, I think that beating a 100% chance of rain on your wedding day is the ultimate in well wishes. :-) Anyway, enough of that... Happy viewing!
Loved the Jimmy Choo's.
My wide shots are not as cool as Chris', so here is my detail shot of her Monique Lhuillier dress. By the way, I absolutely LOVE her dress. Would've worn it myself if it were an option 3 years ago.
I really love it when the bride and groom decide to see each other before the ceremony because it gives us more time to capture them looking their best.
Danielle has one of the most stunning profiles!
I am a big fan of GREAT flowers (so much so that we spent just as much on flowers as we did on our photographer at our wedding). These were amazing.
Nice casual shot in the amazing light in the Trillium room. Remember Chris' shot? I think this was at the same moment that he got the side angle.
I really love this shot, a lot!
So gorgeous!
The flower girl needed a little help down the long aisle... oops, she dropped a few petals on that step! :-)
Love this moment. It gives me the chills.
First kiss as husband and wife! They had a beautiful chuppah.
This may be my favorite of the day. So sweet!
The engagement ring.
The wedding bands... only fitting it is on one of the butterflies from the chuppah.
The ballroom at the Sagamore looked amazing.
Michael's parents during the hora. Love this!
Danielle and her father... so sweet.
The dream team... well, maybe. Jon Zander (left) was gracious enough to be our assistant for the day. (He's still working on that site, aren't ya, Jon?) ;-)
Thanks again to Danielle & Mike and all of your family! It was a wonderful weekend. I can't wait to see the album.
This Friday, I leave for a short weekend in Baltimore for an e shoot and Rachel & Justin's wedding. I may need Monday to recoup from all the travels, but we will have a few blog posts for you next week! |
